The lighting of the entrance portico to the venue and the official inauguration of the Fair by the authorities is to take place on Friday 22 April, at 9pm, and will be attended by the President of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Pere Aragonès, and the first deputy mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, among other political representatives and social leaders.

BOOTHS, RESTAURANTS AND ATTRACTIONS
The surface area occupied by the Fira d’Abril is approximately 87,000 m2, spread over three different areas:

  • El Real (where there are 100 booths of the entities, the areas for the restaurants and commercial spaces, with their corresponding streets or roads) which has an area of 54,500 m2 (16,000 are occupied by the booths, 27,500 emergency roads and 11,000 services).
  • Auditori petit: This is the space that connects El Real with the Marine Zoo platform, 3,000 m2 that will act as an umbilical cord between these two areas and thus facilitate a complete connection between the cultural and commercial booths and attractions.
  • Attractions: The rest of the surface, 29,500 m2, is designated to what is called “Hell Street”, located on the Marine Zoo platform, where there are 125 attractions for all kinds of audiences.

SOLIDARITY WITH UKRAINE - booth 48 will be used to collect non-perishable food by volunteers.  In addition, there will be a cultural exhibition in the main booth of the FECAC to bring the culture and tradition of Ukraine to visitors.

DIVERSITY – the Fair will include a Punt Lila of the Sant Adrià de Besòs City Council with information and advice against gender violence to achieve sexism-free parties. And as a new development this year, the LGBTI community will also have an information stand.

SUPPORTING PEOPLE WITH AUTISM – For a few hours, the attractions will not emit music or sirens as a measure of awareness and respect for people with autism spectrum disorder.
