Parc dels Auditoris

Between the esplanade and the sea is the Parc dels Auditoris. It is a large space of more than 12,000 m2 in the open air subdivided into two auditoriums of different capacities and a promenade that connects them, in the open air and next to the sea.

It is the work of Alejandro Zaera, and the name comes from two outdoor auditorium stands designed for concerts and shows. The space between the two is made up of a series of dunes that combine the green spaces with crescent-shaped concrete tiles in pink tones.

These auditoriums were designed to be the setting for many of the shows at the Fòrum Barcelona 2004. If we access the park from Plaça del Fòrum, when we enter it we find a tier that climbs to the left along the slope. This is the 'Auditori Petit and just at the other end of the park there is an immense esplanade where a grandstand called the Auditori Gran also rises.

There are two large tents connected to each other in order to offer events in different formats, and which can be used jointly or individually and with a capacity for more than 600 people.

The large tent has an area of 614 m2 and the small tent is 249 m2. They have heating, air conditioning, toilets and five modules for different uses. Their versatility and originality make them the perfect places to hold banquets, private parties, small-format concerts and many other kinds of events.

Bathing area

The Fòrum’s bathing area was designed by architect Beth Galí, with a space where you can do the same activities as on the beach, such as sunbathing or swimming. It should be noted, however, that there is no sand and that the water is accessed directly from paved surfaces by steps.

It has an area for people with disabilities that offers the Al bany help service. This service is aimed at people with disabilities and reduced mobility and aims to make it easier for them to get in and out of the water so that they can enjoy time bathing using, if necessary, a hydraulic chair.

A new Memorial Space has been inaugurated in Camp de la Bota in memory and tribute to all the people executed by the Franco's regime.

The Parapet of the Executed 1939-1952 is the work of the artist Francesc Abad and it evokes the wall of executions that was submerged with the works of the Fòrum.

The Mayor of Barcelona, Ada Colau, inaugurated the new Memorial Space, the Parapet of the executed 1939-1952 on 24/02/2019 in the Camp de la Bota to remember and pay tribute to the 1,706 people who were executed in Barcelona, the most in this area of Barcelona’s coastline.
